The beautiful Renaissance manor house in Brodzany dating back to the 17th century has been the seat of the Slavonic Museum of A. S. Pushkin since 1979. The manor house is surrounded by a historical park with 10 busts of prominent Slovak and Russian writers made by leading Slovak artists. Nearby, there is the family tomb of the original owners of the mansion - the Friesenhof chapel.

The museum presents a literary-museum exhibition of Slovak-Russian literary and cultural relations. It reflects on the comparative principle the development of Slovak literature in the context of wider Slovak-Russian relations from the Great Moravian period to the 20th century.

The historical part of the exposition presents interesting Brodzany-Pushkin relations and connections. The equipment of the salons, which consists of the estate of the Friesenhof family and several memorial objects, approaches the atmosphere of the family residence of the nobility at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The third part of the museum exhibition documents the influence of A.S. Pushkin on Slovak literature and maps the most important stages of his life. Visitors have the opportunity to view the authentic salon with portraits, drawings and books related to the life of this classic Russian poetry.

In addition to the permanent exhibitions in the mansion, SMASP organizes regular discussions with writers, cultural, social and professional events and lessons for young people, complemented by various competitions. The museum is part of the Slovak National Library in Martin.
